GLOC was formed in 1975 by Greenock Academy former
pupils who thought that it would be a good idea to
continue doing shows after their school years had
finished.
Two of the original founder members are still in the
club, they are - Elliott McKelvie and Margaret MacDonald
(who came along from Greenock High). Elliott, sadly, is
beginning to show his years, so much so in fact that
during performances we need someone running about with
a net to catch his falsers as they fly out his mouth
when he tries to reach the high notes.
